Having a splendid CV and acing an interview would greatly amplify the chances of landing a job. Through the PwC-ICMS Preview Workshop, 80 shortlisted participants caught a glimpse of what’s inside the recruiter’s mind during the hiring process. The workshop started an exercise which highlighted the power of first impressions that only take about 7 seconds to build. The recruiters of PwC went on to share tips and tricks that can help participants portray a professional image both online and in person, as well as techniques that can be used when articulating their personal experiences during interviews. This includes the STAR method, a structured method to answer interview questions by addressing the Situation, Task, Action, and Result of a situation.
